Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2026
These Terms of Service govern access to and use of the HackTheKnowledge platform. Please read them carefully: by registering or using the service, you accept them in full.
1. Service provider identification
In compliance with art. 10 of Spanish Law 34/2002 on information society services and electronic commerce (LSSI-CE), the owner of this platform is:
- Owner: Francisco Ramos Cascales, self-employed sole trader (autónomo)
- Spanish tax ID (NIF): —
- Address for notices: Zürcherstrasse, 8952, Schlieren, Suiza
- Trading name and domain: HackTheKnowledge — hacktheknowledge.com
- Contact email: support@hacktheknowledge.com
2. Acceptance of terms
By accessing and using HackTheKnowledge (the “Platform”), you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the service.
3. User account and minimum age
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. The Platform is not directed at younger users, and accounts identified as belonging to persons under 16 will be deleted.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for safeguarding your credentials.
- The account is personal and non-transferable. You may not share, assign or resell it.
- You must notify us without delay of any unauthorised use of your account.
4. Licence to use
You are granted a limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to access the Platform's materials for personal, non-commercial training purposes. This is a licence to use, not a transfer of title. In particular, you may not:
- Modify, copy or reproduce the materials beyond the authorised personal use.
- Use the materials for commercial purposes or for public communication.
- Decompile or reverse engineer the Platform's software.
- Remove copyright notices or other proprietary notations.
- Transfer the materials to third parties or mirror them on another server.
- Use automated tools to scrape or bulk-access the Platform.
5. Acceptable use of the labs
The labs are isolated environments created exclusively for training purposes. You undertake to:
- Use the techniques you learn only inside the environments we provide, or against systems for which you hold the owner's express written authorisation.
- Not use the lab infrastructure to attack third-party systems, mine cryptocurrency, send unsolicited email or carry out any other unlawful activity.
- Not attempt to escape the lab isolation or access other students' environments.
- Not publish solutions, flags or exercise content outside the Platform.
Breach of this section may result in immediate suspension of the account without refund and, where appropriate, in reporting the facts to the competent authorities.
6. Pricing, payment and withdrawal
- Prices are displayed with the applicable taxes indicated before you confirm your purchase. Payments are processed through Stripe.
- Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy.
- If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you have the right of withdrawal under Spanish Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007. As this is digital content supplied immediately, at the moment of purchase you expressly consent to performance beginning at once and acknowledge that, under art. 103(m) of that instrument, the right of withdrawal is lost once performance has begun. Independently of this, the voluntary 14-day guarantee in our Refund Policy continues to apply on its own terms.
7. Platform Lifetime Offer
This section applies specifically to the “Platform Lifetime” / “Full Package” offer (product code PLATFORM_LIFETIME_OFFER), purchased as a single one-time payment.
- What “lifetime” means: continued access to HackTheKnowledge's published course catalogue — including courses added after your purchase — for as long as HackTheKnowledge operates this Platform and continues to offer this specific product. It is not a guarantee of access in perpetuity independent of the Platform's existence.
- Discontinuation: if HackTheKnowledge discontinues the Platform or this offering entirely (e.g. due to business closure), we will provide at least 90 days' advance notice by email where reasonably possible, and access continues until that date.
- 1-to-1 mentoring: the weekly 1-to-1 mentoring calls included in this offer are provided for 12 months from the date of purchase. Access to the course catalogue, labs and asynchronous Discord support is not limited to this 12-month period.
- Personal, non-transferable licence: this offer grants access to a single individual account and may not be shared, resold or transferred to another person or entity.
- Refunds: governed by our Refund Policy, independent of the “lifetime” duration described above.
8. User conduct
As a user, you agree not to:
- Engage in conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone else's use or enjoyment of the Platform.
- Post or transmit unlawful, fraudulent or harmful content.
- Harass other users or cause them distress or inconvenience.
- Disrupt the normal flow of dialogue within our learning community.
- Use or attempt to use the Platform for purposes other than those for which it is intended.
9. Service availability
The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available”. We aim to keep the service running continuously, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, in particular during maintenance or in the event of incidents affecting our infrastructure providers. Labs are subject to usage quotas and a maximum session time-to-live.
10. Accuracy of materials
The materials published on the Platform may contain technical or typographical errors. We do not warrant that they are accurate, complete or current at all times, and we may change them without notice. The Platform may contain links to third-party sites whose content we neither control nor endorse; use of those sites is at the user's own risk.
11. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, HackTheKnowledge shall not be liable for indirect damages, loss of profit, loss of data or business interruption arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Platform. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or the rights granted to consumers by consumer protection law.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your account in the event of a serious breach of these terms, in particular of section 5 (acceptable use of the labs), credential sharing or non-payment. You may close your account at any time from your account area or by writing to support@hacktheknowledge.com.
13. Data protection
The processing of your personal data is described in the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy. For corporate customers, the Data Processing Addendum also applies.
14. Changes
We may revise these terms to reflect changes to the service or to applicable law. Where a change is substantial, we will give you reasonable advance notice by email or through a notice on the Platform. Continued use of the service after the change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new version.
15. Governing law and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, the courts of your place of residence have jurisdiction and you retain the rights granted by Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007. Otherwise, the parties submit to the courts of the owner's domicile. You may also use the European online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
