AI Transparency

HackTheKnowledge ("HTK") uses AI-assisted tooling in parts of its content and support workflows. This page explains where AI is involved, how human review is applied, and what that means for you as a student. This statement applies to hacktheknowledge.com.

Where We Use AI

• Content production: Drafting and editing of course materials, lab instructions, blog articles, and translations may be assisted by AI tools. Every published item is reviewed and approved by our instructors — practising security analysts — before it reaches the platform.
• Assignment feedback: Open-ended assignments may receive an initial automated assessment to give you fast, structured feedback. Grading criteria are defined by instructors, and you can always request human review of any automated result.
• Support workflows: We may use AI assistance to triage and draft responses to support requests. A human remains responsible for the final answer on any non-trivial issue.

Where We Do Not Use AI

• Certificate issuance decisions are based on your actual lesson, lab, and exam completion — not on AI judgement.
• Billing, refunds, and account management decisions are made by humans following our published policies.
• We do not use AI to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Human Review and Quality

AI output is treated as a draft, never as a final product. Technical accuracy of course content — commands, tool usage, analysis methodology, indicators of compromise — is verified by instructors against real lab environments before publication. If you find an error, we want to know: report it and we will correct it.

Your Data and AI

We do not sell your personal data to AI providers, and we do not use your private lab work or personal information to train public AI models. Where third-party AI services process data on our behalf, they act as processors under our Data Processing Addendum and our Privacy Policy.

Disclosure and Contact

Review Schedule

This statement is reviewed whenever our AI usage changes materially, and at least annually. Last review: March 2026.
